Elverta Elementary School prepares students to face the challenges of today for success tomorrow. At Elverta Elementary School you will find an academic program designed to meet the needs of all students with teachers and staff who share a passion to see all students succeed.
We believe the high quality of our program is due to many factors, including dedicated staff, small class sizes, and programs such as Response to Intervention, PBIS, and rigorous standards-based curriculum.
What is Response to Intervention (RTI)?
Every school day students are engaged in learning in small groups. This approach to individual student learning is called Response to Intervention, or RTI for short.
RTI grew from efforts to improve identification practices in special education. Simply put, it is a process of systematically documenting the performance of students as evidence of the need for additional services after making changes in classroom instruction and delivering a range of interventions based on demonstrated levels of need.
We have been implementing RTI into the daily experience of our students for a number of years, and with tremendous success. Our school day is built around serving each students and their individual needs. At Elverta Elementary School we know that one size doesn’t fit all!
Small Class Sizes
We feature small class sizes, averaging 24 or less in kindergarten through grade 3, and averaging 30 in grades 4-6. Throughout the school day you will find students working in small groups, focusing on instruction and intervention that is centered on the individual student.
School Hours
School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m. |
